Google Business Profile for Flooring Installers

Most flooring jobs start with a map search and two or three quote requests in the same afternoon. Your profile decides whether you are one of the calls.

Pick a 15-minute time. Your demo is built before the call.

What does this include?

Vevang Sites sets up and runs your Google Business Profile: the right flooring categories, a service list by material, real job photos, hours, posts and Q&A. We connect it to a website we build for flooring installers, then our SEO Ranker agent improves both every week.

Why it matters

Why it’s different for your trade.

01

The map decides who gets the measure

A homeowner searching flooring installers near me taps the map first. They call two or three profiles, book the earliest measure, and often hire whoever walks the rooms first. Your profile is the shortlist.

02

Material searches land on the map

People search vinyl plank installer, hardwood refinishing near me and carpet removal near me. Your categories and service list tell Google which of those searches you belong in. A profile that says only flooring misses most of them.

03

It updates the same day

You finished a white oak install this morning. Those photos can be on your profile by lunch. No other part of your marketing moves that fast, and shoppers comparing installers notice recent work.

What we do

The work, step by step.

01

Claim it and fix the address setup

If you have a showroom, show the address and set real hours people can visit. If you run out of a truck and trailer, hide the address and set a service area by the towns you actually drive to.

02

Set categories by what you install

Primary is usually flooring contractor. Add secondary categories that match your work: wood floor refinishing, carpet installer, tile contractor, floor sanding. Only add what you truly do, since each one pulls a different kind of call.

03

List services by material, not in general

Hardwood installation, luxury vinyl plank, laminate, tile, carpet, refinishing, subfloor leveling, stair treads, floor repair. Write a short plain description under each so a homeowner comparing materials sees you handle theirs.

04

Load photos that show rooms and process

Finished living rooms and kitchens, before and after refinishing, stair runs, subfloor prep, transitions and edges. Add new ones from jobs every few weeks. Skip catalog images of floors you never installed.

05

Use posts and Q&A the way callers think

Post a recent install or a short material note. In Q&A, answer what every caller asks: do you move furniture, do you haul old carpet, is the measure free, how long before we walk on it.

06

Connect the profile to your site

Point the website button at your measure booking page, not the homepage. Keep name, address, hours and phone identical in both places. We add call and form tracking so you see which jobs came from the map.

Common mistakes

What usually goes wrong.

Picking a store category with no store

Choosing flooring store when there is no showroom to visit gets you compared to retailers and invites walk-ins you cannot serve. Pick the contractor category that matches how you actually work.

Photos from three years and one job

Ten shots of the same oak floor tell a shopper nothing about vinyl, tile or stairs. Buyers want to see their material in a house like theirs, installed recently.

Messaging on, nobody answering

A quote request that sits until evening is already at another installer's measure. Either answer messages during the day or turn the feature off and drive people to your booking page.

A services list that says flooring

One generic entry leaves refinishing, carpet tear-out and repair searches to someone else. Those repair and water-damage calls often turn into full replacements.

How it works

You see it first. Then you decide.

You don’t sign anything to see it. Book a time, and your demo is ready before we talk.

  1. 01

    Book 15 minutes

Pick a time — often the same day. Tell us your website, or just your business name and city.

  2. 02

    We build your demo

Before the call, we build a demo of your new website from your real business: your services, your area, your reviews.

  3. 03

    See it, then decide

We walk you through the demo on the call. You see exactly what you’d get before you spend anything.

  4. 04

    Launch, then improve weekly

We build it for real and put it live. After launch, the SEO Ranker agent keeps improving it every week.

Questions

Straight answers.

Should I show my address or set a service area?

Show the address only if customers can walk in and see samples during posted hours. If you store material at home or in a rented unit, hide the address and list the towns you drive to. A hidden address still ranks; a wrong one risks suspension and sends people to your driveway.

What primary category should a flooring installer use?

Flooring contractor fits most installers. If refinishing is the bulk of your revenue, wood floor refinishing service may serve you better as primary, with flooring contractor secondary. Test one, watch which calls come in over a few weeks, then adjust. We track this and make the change when the pattern is clear.

Do posts actually bring in flooring work?

Posts rarely move rankings on their own. They do two things that matter: they show a shopper you are active this month, and they let you push seasonal work like basement vinyl, holiday-ready hardwood or pre-sale carpet replacement. A short post with one good job photo is enough.

Which photos should I upload?

Finished rooms with furniture back in place, before and after refinishing shots, stair installs, tricky transitions, and one or two of your crew working. Shoot in daylight, level with the floor, showing the whole room. Homeowners are judging whether their space could look like that.

Can you guarantee I land in the map pack?

No, and nobody honestly can. Google weighs distance, category match, reviews, activity and your website. We control everything on that list except distance, and we keep working on it every week. If an installer promises you a map position, ask them what happens when a competitor opens closer to town.

How do reviews fit into this?

Ask every customer at the same moment: the walkthrough, when the floor looks its best. We send the request by text after the job closes and reply to reviews as they land, good or not. Mention the material and town in your reply so the profile reads specific to your work.

How does the profile work with my website?

They should agree. Same hours, same phone, same service list, same towns. Your profile links to a measure booking page built for flooring quotes, with room counts and material interest. Call and form tracking shows which measures came from the map, so you know what the profile is producing.

What happens on the 15-minute call?

We build a demo of your flooring site before we talk, using your real jobs and service area. On the call we walk through it, look at your current profile, and point out the categories, services and photos that are missing. You can take that list and do it yourself if you want.
