What does this include?

Vevang Sites builds your chimney site and runs reviews with it. Every customer gets a one-tap request after the sweep, inspection or repair, and we reply to every review, good or bad. Real reviews show on your service pages. No gating, no incentives, no written reviews.

Why it matters

Why it’s different for your trade.

01

October comes down to a tiebreaker

When the weather turns, three sweeps in your town all show booked calendars. The homeowner scrolls reviews and calls the one with recent, detailed feedback. A review from last spring reads as stale next to one from last week.

02

Reviews sell the repair, not just the sweep

A homeowner hears their crown is cracked or their clay liner is failing, and they wonder if you are upselling. Reviews from people who went through the same rebuild or reline answer that doubt before you quote.

03

Agents read them before they refer

Real estate agents need an inspection report fast and correct. They check reviews once, pick a sweep, and keep using that sweep. One agent relationship can carry every closing on their side of town.

What we do

The work, step by step.

01

Ask while the drop cloths are coming up

We set the request to fire when the tech closes out the job, not days later. The homeowner has just seen the clean firebox and the camera photos of their flue. That is when they will actually tap.

02

Make it one tap from a text

The request goes by text with a direct link to your Google Business Profile. No app, no login, no hunting through search results. Older homeowners, who make up a lot of fireplace work, get through it without help.

03

Ask every customer, every time

Sweeps, level two inspections, dryer vents, caps, relines. Everyone gets the same request, including the customer you had to tell the fireplace is unsafe to use. Filtering by mood breaks platform rules and it shows.

04

Reply to all of them

We write replies to every review, including the one-star about scheduling in November or a disputed inspection finding. Replies are factual, short and signed by your company. Future customers read the replies as closely as the reviews.

05

Put them on the page that matches the job

Reline reviews go on the relining page. Leak reviews go on the leak repair page. Inspection reviews go on the real estate inspection page. A homeowner reading about crown rebuilds sees people who had a crown rebuilt.

06

Keep it running weekly

SEO Ranker checks each week that requests are still going out, new reviews have replies, and the newest ones are live on the site. Review flow drops off fastest in the months you are busiest.

Common mistakes

What usually goes wrong.

Only asking in the slow season

Spring masonry customers get asked and September sweeps do not, because nobody has time. Then the reviews people read during your busiest month are six months old. The ask has to be automatic or it stops in October.

Screening customers first

Asking how the job went and only sending the link to people who smile is review gating. Platforms prohibit it and can remove the reviews. Send the same request to everyone, including the customer who got bad news about their liner.

Arguing with the failed inspection

A homeowner posts that you condemned their fireplace to sell a reline. Long defensive replies make it worse. Reply short, offer to send the camera footage and the report, and invite a second opinion in writing.

Hiding reviews on one page

A reviews page nobody visits does no work. The people deciding are on your chimney leak page or your inspection page at eleven at night, and they need to see someone else's leak fixed right there.

Questions

Straight answers.

When is the right moment to ask a chimney customer?

The moment the drop cloths come up. A sweep takes an hour or two and the homeowner is standing there looking at a clean firebox and photos of their flue. That is peak goodwill. For a reline or crown rebuild, ask at the final walkthrough once the scaffolding is down and the work is visible.

Do I really have to ask customers who were unhappy?

Yes. Platform rules say you ask everyone or you ask no one. Sorting customers first and only sending links to the pleased ones is gating, and reviews collected that way can be removed. Ask all of them. A handful of mixed reviews with good replies reads more honest than a wall of five stars anyway.

Can I take something off next year's sweep for a review?

No. Offering a discount, a free dryer vent cleaning or a gift card for a review violates platform rules and puts your whole review history at risk. The trade for the review is the work itself: a clean job, honest findings and a report the homeowner understands. That is enough to ask.

Someone reviewed us saying the reline quote was a scare tactic. Now what?

Reply publicly, briefly and without heat. Say what the camera scan showed, that photos and the written report were provided, and that you will resend both. Offer to have another certified sweep review the footage. Homeowners reading it see a company that documents findings instead of one that gets defensive.

Should I ask real estate agents for reviews too?

Yes, and most sweeps never do. The agent is a customer with repeat work. Ask after you deliver the inspection report, not while the deal is still moving. An agent review that mentions a fast turnaround on a level two inspection pulls in other agents who have a closing next week.

How many reviews do I need before it matters?

There is no set number, and anyone quoting one is guessing. What homeowners notice is recency and detail. A steady trickle all year beats a burst in March and silence through the fall. Keep the ask running on every job and the count takes care of itself over a season or two.

Will more reviews get me ranked higher on Google Maps?

Reviews are one of the things Google weighs, along with proximity, your profile and your site. Nobody can guarantee a ranking, and we will not. What reviews reliably do is win the decision once someone is already looking at three sweeps and comparing them on their phone.

Do reviews help when people ask an AI assistant for a sweep?

AI answers pull from your website, your Google Business Profile and what is written about you. Reviews that describe real work, plus clear pages on inspections, relining and leaks, give those tools accurate material to read. We keep that information consistent, but no one can promise what any assistant says.
