Reviews that decide which fence bid wins

Homeowners collect several fence bids in the same week. The reviews under your name often decide which estimate they call back.

What does this include?

Vevang Sites sets up review requests for fence companies: one-tap texts sent at the final walkthrough, to every customer, with no incentives and no filtering. We reply to reviews in your voice and publish real ones on your material and repair pages. Rankings are never guaranteed.

Why it matters

Why it’s different for your trade.

01

Several bids, one week

Most homeowners line up several fence estimates in the same week. Your quote sits next to the others. Recent reviews that mention post depth, a raked yard and a gate that latches right break the tie more often than the number does.

02

Material doubt

Buyers stuck between cedar, vinyl, aluminum and chain link read reviews to see what other yards ended up with. Reviews that name real materials, real slopes and real lot sizes answer questions your brochure photos cannot.

03

Trust before anyone digs

You are putting holes along someone's property line and dealing with their HOA. Reviews about permits pulled, utility marks respected and neighbors kept informed calm the part of a fence job homeowners actually worry about.

What we do

The work, step by step.

01

Pick one moment: the final walkthrough

We set the request to fire when the job is closed out, not when the deposit clears. The homeowner has just walked the line with you, swung the gate and seen the yard raked. That is when people actually write something.

02

Make it one tap

A short text goes out with a direct link to your profile. No app, no login, no hunting through Maps. The crew lead can send it from the driveway, or the office can send it the same afternoon.

03

Ask every customer, every job

Two-panel storm repairs, gate adjustments, farm fencing, full privacy runs. Everyone gets the same request. No sorting by mood, no survey screen in front of the link. Platform rules require it, and a mixed profile reads as real.

04

Reply to all of them

We answer every review in your voice, naming the material and the work. For a hard one, the reply states what happened, what you fixed and how to reach you. Future buyers read your reply more closely than the complaint.

05

Show reviews where buyers decide

Vinyl reviews sit on the vinyl page. Repair reviews sit on the repair page. Gate comments land next to gate photos. The gallery shows the fence and the words from that customer together.

06

Keep it running all year

Winter repair calls, gate service and post resets keep reviews arriving while installs are slow. SEO Ranker works on your site weekly, so the profile is not dormant when spring searches start.

Common mistakes

What usually goes wrong.

Asking when the contract is signed

The pickets are still on the trailer and the customer has nothing to describe. Ask at completion instead, once the line is walked, the gate is tested and the dirt is cleaned up.

Only asking on big privacy jobs

Repair customers get skipped because the ticket was small. Those are the people whose fence blew down in a storm, who answer fast, and who tell neighbors with the same damaged section.

Screening before you send the link

Sending the request only to customers who seemed pleased is review gating, and offering a gate discount or gift card for a review is worse. Both break platform rules and can cost you the reviews you already have.

Letting a gate complaint sit

A sagging gate review from last season stays unanswered while new buyers read it first. Reply, say what the warranty covers and get the callback scheduled in public.

How it works

You see it first. Then you decide.

You don’t sign anything to see it. Book a time, and your demo is ready before we talk.

  1. 01

    Book 15 minutes

Pick a time — often the same day. Tell us your website, or just your business name and city.

  2. 02

    We build your demo

Before the call, we build a demo of your new website from your real business: your services, your area, your reviews.

  3. 03

    See it, then decide

We walk you through the demo on the call. You see exactly what you’d get before you spend anything.

  4. 04

    Launch, then improve weekly

We build it for real and put it live. After launch, the SEO Ranker agent keeps improving it every week.

Questions

Straight answers.

When exactly should we ask after an install?

Right after the final walkthrough, while you are still in the driveway. The crew lead sends the text before loading the trailer. Waiting for the invoice to clear usually costs you a week, and by then the fence is just part of the yard. A same-day ask gets answered far more often than a Friday batch.

What if we are waiting on a gate operator or HOA sign-off?

Wait until the customer considers the job finished. If an automatic opener is back-ordered, ask after it is installed and tested. If the HOA held up a section, ask once that run is standing. Send one request per job, not one per phase, so the customer is never chased twice.

Someone left one star about our spring lead time. What do we say?

Reply publicly and be straight. Name the reason the schedule slipped, whether it was rain, frost in the ground or a full spring backlog, say what you changed, and give a direct way to reach you. Do not argue about the deposit in public. The calm reply is what the next buyer reads.

A neighbor who never hired us reviewed our property line work.

Reply politely, say you set the fence to the survey the homeowner provided, and invite them to call you. You can also report a review that did not come from a customer to the platform. Removal is up to them and is never guaranteed, so a steady reply matters more than the dispute.

Can we take money off a gate in exchange for a review?

No. Incentives of any kind break platform rules, and reviews earned that way can be removed along with others on your profile. Ask everyone, every time, and let the volume do the work. A free post cap or a discount ties your reputation to something the platform can take away.

Should we skip customers we think are unhappy?

No. Filtering who gets the link is review gating, and it is against platform rules. It also hides problems you could fix, like a crew that leaves concrete spoil behind. Ask everyone. A profile with a few honest complaints and good replies looks more credible to a homeowner comparing bids.

Do more reviews get us into the map pack?

Reviews are one signal among several, including proximity to the searcher, your categories, your service area and how complete your profile is. No one can guarantee a ranking, and we will not. What we can do is keep reviews arriving, keep replies current and keep your profile accurate week after week.

Do reviews matter for AI answers?

Assistants summarize what is public about your business. When your reviews, service pages and profile agree on the materials you install, the towns you cover and whether you handle repairs, you are easier to describe accurately. Nobody can promise an assistant will mention you, and we make no claim that it will.
