Google Business Profile for Auto Detailers

Most detailing jobs start with someone tapping the map, not your homepage. Your profile has to show the work, the packages and how fast you can get to them.

What does this include?

Your Google Business Profile is the map listing many detailing customers see before your website. Vevang Sites sets up categories, services, service area, hours and photos, keeps posts and Q&A current, and connects the profile to a site that matches it. We also handle review requests and replies.

Why it matters

Why it’s different for your trade.

01

The map is the shortlist

Someone with a back seat full of dog hair opens Maps, searches car detailing, and taps two or three listings. If your photos are thin and your services are blank, you never make that shortlist, no matter how good your buffing is.

02

Mobile work lives or dies on service area

If you detail in driveways, your profile type and service area decide who sees you. Set it wrong and you get calls from an hour away and miss the neighborhoods you actually drive to every week.

03

First reply usually wins

Detailing shoppers message several shops at once. Messaging, a booking link and real hours on your profile mean the person with the coating budget reaches you while you still have a slot open.

What we do

The work, step by step.

01

Claim the right kind of profile

Shop with a bay customers visit: show the address and set drop-off hours. Mobile only: hide the home address and list the towns you serve. Doing both wrong is the fastest way to get a listing suspended.

02

Set categories and services to match your packages

Primary category car detailing service, then only the extras you truly offer, like car wash or auto restoration. Add each service with its own description: interior deep clean, paint correction, ceramic coating, pet hair and odor, headlight restoration.

03

Load photos that show the work

Before and after pairs on the same vehicle, interiors as well as paint, your van or bay, and the setup you bring. Keep adding fresh ones after big jobs so the profile does not look frozen in last spring.

04

Make booking and answering easy

Add a booking link to a form that asks year, make, model, condition, and whether water and power are available on site. Turn on messaging and decide who watches it while you are buffing a hood.

05

Post and answer questions on a season

Salt and undercarriage cleanup when the plows come out, spring refresh, coating season, sale prep before trade-in time. Seed the Q&A with the real ones: do you come to me, how long, do you need a hose.

06

Connect profile and site, then track calls

Same name, number and hours everywhere, with each profile service pointing to a matching page on your site. Call and form tracking shows which jobs the map actually produced so you know what to feed it.

Common mistakes

What usually goes wrong.

Painting the whole metro as your service area

A service area that covers three counties brings calls you will not drive to, and drags your visibility away from the suburbs where you work every week. List the towns you would take a job in tomorrow.

Only glossy finished shots

A hood reflecting the sky proves nothing to someone with a juice-stained booster seat. Without before and after pairs on interiors, carpets and headlights, shoppers cannot tell your work from a tunnel wash.

Blank services and no packages

A listing that says car detailing service and nothing else forces people to call for basics. Spell out what a full detail, a correction and a coating include so the profile does the sorting for you.

Letting messages and questions sit

Unanswered messages and a Q&A full of strangers guessing at your prices push the coating buyer to the next detailer. Someone needs to watch the inbox on days you are heads-down in a vehicle.

Questions

Straight answers.

Should I show my home address if I detail mobile?

No. If customers never come to you, hide the address and set a service area instead. Google expects listings without customer-facing locations to keep the address hidden. If you also take drop-offs in a garage or bay, that changes things, and the profile should reflect how people actually reach you.

Which categories should a detailer use?

Car detailing service fits most shops as the primary. Add secondary categories only for work you really do, such as car wash, auto restoration or window tinting. Extra categories for services you do not offer bring the wrong calls and confuse Google about what to show you for.

How many photos do I need?

Enough that a stranger can judge your work without calling. Pairs matter more than volume: the same back seat before and after, a swirled panel and the corrected one, restored headlights, your rig on a driveway. Keep adding after notable jobs so the listing stays current.

Do posts actually help?

They keep the profile active and give seasonal work a place to show. Salt and undercarriage cleanup in winter, spring refresh, coating season, sale prep before trade-in time. We write and schedule them so your listing matches what people are searching for that month.

Can you guarantee I rank first on the map?

No, and nobody honestly can. Rankings depend on distance, competition and signals outside anyone's control. What we can do is make the profile complete and consistent with your site, keep it active, handle reviews, and improve it every week with our SEO Ranker agent.

How do reviews fit in?

Reviews on the profile influence whether someone taps your listing. We send review requests to every customer after a job and help you reply to what comes in, good or bad. A calm reply to a complaint about a missed spot tells the next reader how you handle problems.

Will a tracking number hurt my listing?

Not if it is handled properly. We keep your main number consistent across the profile and site, and track calls and forms without creating a mismatch. You still see which jobs came from the map, which came from search, and which pages did the work.

What happens on the 15-minute call?

We build a demo of your detailing site before we talk, then walk through it with your Google Business Profile open. You see what is missing on the listing, what pages the site needs for coating, correction and mobile work, and what we would do first. Book a call.
